we all just adore Croatian cost line! It is just the best and the closest to our country of origin. It has unique spots and places from old city centres with beautiful architecture and a beachy vibes to huge Marinas, where you can see the most beautiful yachts you could only imagine.
Since we have all spend almost every summer holiday on the beaches of this beautiful Croatian cost line, it was just a matter of time when we were going to invest into a property over here.
Wondering what activities you can attend when visiting Island Pag, what cultural sights you must see, what food you need to taste?
Well here are all the answers!
OLIVE GARDEN / LOCAL VINERY / CHEESE SHOP / SALT SHOP / SALT MUSEUM / RESTAURANTS / PAG LACE STORE
Local restaurants offer different food for various tastes, my favorite is Summer, Mandre and Basilica, Novalja. But the best is grilled fresh fish from the local fishery at the fish market!
When you want a little shade from the heating sun, you should hide in Pags Salt Shop or Museum, located in the city Pag, and when in city Pag you should buy fresh cheese in their Sirarna Pag. For families with kids, a stroll and stop at the playground next to the small fishing boats would be recommended. A visit to the city center at nightfall is just a perfect ending to a sunny day.
We must not forget the charming city of Lun that is situated at the very end of the island, andit’s known for their olive garden, where they produce quality olive oil and have one of the oldest olive trees. The drive from Mandre to the olive garden is 25 min, so it’s worth the trip.
Where in Pag to go when with kids?
Here are some suggestions where you can go when visiting Island Pag with kids.
There are a couple of private on the water, floating castles and climbing/jumping aquapark where you can relax by the bar in the shade while kids play or do a sports activity like windsurfing, rent a water scooter, banana or donut boat pull, or other fun water sports available. Another way to have fun with kids is a private boat tour, or boat excursions, or kayak trip.
City Mandre has a long line of beaches, if you just want to explore Mandre is perfect just to do it by foot or rent a bike to explore!
What trips to take for adventurers?
Are you adventurous type, or you would like to try something more on the dangerous side. Drive to Novalja where they offer a Thrilling Bungee Jump! There is also a possibility of Bungee jump inside the cave!? Does that sound thrilling enough, contact us for more info.
If you stay here for a longer period of time or if you organize your traveling so you stop first before coming here or on the way home, we suggest to visit two national Parks in the near in Croatia:
Plitvice Lake National Park – bring water and snacks! I also saw an add for a boat tour through Plitvice Lake, which sounds better than walking! Will let you know of my experience when we go!
Krka Falls National Park – Unesco heritage
